HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
An individual HIFU non-surgical face lift treatment takes between 1-2.5 hours, depending on the areas treated. This is made up of the face mapping prior to the treatment and the HIFU itself.
WHEN CAN I SEE THE RESULTS?
The HIFU non-surgical face lift takes 12 weeks to take full effect. This is due to the healing time of the SMAS and Dermal layers of the skin. Most people do start to notice a tightening effect after a few weeks
WILL THE RESULTS LAST?
The HIFU non-surgical face lift lasts on average of 12 to 18 months on most people, this does vary on an individual basis due to genetics and lifestyle
ABOUT HIFU
HIFU, or High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, is a revolutionary treatment for a non-surgical approach to a traditional surgical facelift.
It works by penetrating energy into the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System- the muscular system of the face, this is the same system that is manipulated during a surgical facelift, the deep dermis, and subcutaneous fibrous tissue.
Energy is transmitted into these layers causing controlled trauma. This then causes contraction and tightening of the muscular layer, leading to repair, and immediate collagen stimulation, rejuvenating, firming, and plumping the skin.
WHY IT'S THE CLOSEST TREATMENT TO A SURGICAL FACELIFT
HIFU works by delivering multiple beams of ultrasound on to a specific target. These targets are:

Pre-treatment instructions, such as avoiding certain medications or skincare products will also be given
Preparation: Before the procedure, the treatment area is usually cleansed, and the face is mapped into sections. Ultrasound gel is then applied to enhance comfort during the treatment.
Treatment: During the treatment, a handheld device that emits focused ultrasound energy is passed over the targeted areas of the face and neck. I weighed up the surgical vs. non-surgical versions of a facelift and I'm so happy I opted for the non-surgical HIFU. I was told beforehand it can be an uncomfortable treatment, and it was, but maybe 20 mins post-treatment I was fine, which would not be the case if I opted for surgical! I had a little tenderness for about 3 days, but only when I touched my face, but completely manageable. The results are fantastic! The staff were great!
